Savanna Lakes Fence & Gate Planning

Turn a new-home yard idea into a clear fence proposal. At Savanna Lakes, start with the documents for your homesite, the association’s current requirements and the access you want to preserve.

Use the documents for the home you own.

Lennar’s Savanna Lakes community page identifies a single-family home community in Lehigh Acres. A marketing floor plan is helpful for understanding the house, but fence planning needs the lot-specific survey and the final conditions around the yard.

Gather the survey and association information supplied with your closing documents. Confirm that they match your address and homesite. If construction or site work is still underway, clarify when the area will be available for an onsite assessment and installation access.

Get the current fence requirements from the HOA.

We have not verified a complete current public fence specification for Savanna Lakes. Ask for the applicable architectural process and restrictions on materials, height, color, location and gates before choosing a design. Builder sales information is not a fence approval.

Plan the yard before the first post.

Check the finished site

Compare the proposed line with the survey, drainage features, irrigation and utility equipment. Identify anything that may require a change to the layout or coordination before installation.

Keep service access

Plan how lawn equipment and service providers will reach the yard. Locate gates where they support daily use and where the approved layout allows them.

Define pet containment

Discuss the animal’s size and habits, the gaps below panels and openings at gates. Bring these needs into the material discussion while checking the association’s requirements.

If the yard approaches a pond, shared landscape area or drainage feature, establish the lot boundary and relevant easements before assuming the fence can follow the maintained grass.

Keep HOA and district questions separate.

The Savanna Lakes Community Development District publishes district information, meetings and documents. Its district overview identifies a public entity concerned with community improvements. Contact the HOA for private architectural requirements and ask the responsible property owner or district about proposed work affecting its land or facilities.

For permit planning, start with the parcel and Lee County’s fence resources. A community approval, an estimate and a public permit serve different purposes; resolve the steps required for the project before installation.

Compare options after the layout is clear.

Florida Fence Pros can assess the proposed line and gate locations onsite. Where permitted, explore aluminum fencing, vinyl fencing and other options through our Lehigh Acres service page. Tell us the priority—privacy, an open view, pet containment or access—so the estimate reflects the way you will use the yard.

For an existing fence, bring the prior approval and identify the damaged sections. We also evaluate repairs and gate work; a replacement may need its own review if the design or layout changes.

Savanna Lakes project questions.

Can I plan a fence before closing on the home?

You can organize your goals and request current requirements. Confirm ownership, access permission and the final property documents before any installation commitment or work onsite.

Does the CDD approve my residential fence design?

Do not assume the CDD replaces the HOA’s architectural process. Ask the HOA for private design requirements, and clarify district or shared-property issues with the responsible entity when applicable.

What is useful for a first onsite estimate?

Your address, lot-specific survey if available, current HOA requirements, the desired enclosed area and gate-access needs. Let us know about ongoing construction or unfinished site work.
